Hitts barton is a family run livery yard located in the beautiful East Devon countryside just under 10 miles from Exeter's city centre.

We offer a range of livery packages from DIY to FULL and have wonderful facilities including large indoor and outdoor arenas with flood lights for year round use, a 20m lunge pen, fantastic hacking and much more.

Riding Lessons

Here at Hitts Barton we also run a small riding school where we offer confidence building lessons for adults and children. As well as offering private and semi-private lessons of our own, we work closely with the East Devon Riding for the Disabled who come to us on Thursdays and Fridays.

DIY & FULL Livery

Here at Hitts Barton we offer a wide range of liveries tailed specifically to you and your horse from DIY all the way to FULL livery.

Summer Gallop Fields

Once we have cut the hay fields we allow our liveries to use them. In addition to this, we have a few XC jumps that we put out in them too.

All Year Round Turnout

Although we have summer and winter turnout routines we offer our liveries the ability to turn out all year round. In Autumn 2019 we had several all weather tracks put in to allow easy access to the fields throughout the winter months.

Indoor School

50m x 20m Indoor school with a recently fitted (Jan 2020) wax surface and undercover viewing area.

Excellent Hacking

Hitts Barton is perfectly situated for making the most out of the wonderful nearby Devon countryside with plenty of lanes and villages to explore whilst being a short 30 minute hack from Ash Clyst Forest which offers an array of bridleways.
